The concept of improvisational quilting is sometimes daunting. Swatch, by Nydia Kehnle and Alison Glass, is a controlled improv pattern. A combination of freedom and boundaries, it is intended to give practice with improv, but with guidance. Color illustrations, detailed instructions and helpful tips are included.
