This Sew Along concluded in 2016 –
Woven Essentials tutorials are all still available below
Sewing with a group of friends is such a satisfying activity. Because of this, we have decided to host a Woven Essentials Sewalong. For this sewalong we are going to make the Woven Essentials Gathered Dress and would love to have you all sew one with us. This dress would be a fun holiday wardrobe piece, and we will be finished before Thanksgiving! Karen LePage has created a lovely site, handmade-wardrobe.com, to house all of the helpful tutorials talked about in The Essentials Series garment patterns. For more pictures and information, check out this post.
This sew along is for the confident beginner to intermediate sewist. You have a knowledge of basic garment making and sewing vocabulary, but are looking for a like-minded tribe to go through the pattern steps with. Or, maybe you have already tried the Basic Woven Dress and you want to see how other people are putting together the different pattern modifications like, gathers and embellishments. We would love you join us.
Get a pattern booklet and give it a read. The Essential Series garment patterns are on sale, 20% off in the AGshop 10/5-10/12. Use code AGSEWALONG at checkout.
Hang out on Instagram with us. Dream of what you want to make and see what the possibilities are.
Use #agsewalong to tag what you have ALREADY made using The Essentials Series garment patterns. If we repost your project picture as part of the #agsewalong sharing on the AG Instagram page you will win a Fat 8th bundle of the new Seventy Six line.
*By using this hashtag you are giving @alisonglass permission to repost your photo.
Week of October 16th:

Hang out on Instagram, continue the #agsewalong party and remember, if we repost your project picture as part of the #agsewalong sharing on our Instagram page you win a Fat 8th bundle of the new Seventy Six line.
Stay tuned to for more information as the start date gets closer!
