Alison Glass Applique
I’m so excited to share this book with you! It’s all about appliqué, lots of different types. It’s a teaching book, and you can apply the lessons to many of your own projects, not just the projects in the book.
This listing is for a signed copy. If you do not want it signed or if you want it signed to anyone please leave a note at check out.
The first three chapters cover the things you will need to know to add appliqué to your creations, with a lot of encouragement to try new things in your own way. Topics include: turned appliqué, using templates and stencils, raw-edge appliqué, reverse appliqué, stitching edges, adding decorative stitches, adding patchwork, working with different types of fabric, and more.
The last chapter has 14 projects, and I share my more personal thoughts behind each. There are two big pull out pages, covered front and back with templates you can use to make the projects shown, or use to make up new ideas.
The photos are beautiful and plentiful, taken by Nydia Kehnle, and capture the essence of the feel of the book so well. It is intended to encourage distinctive, artisan quality, heirloom type work, and I am so happy to get to show all of the things.
