Blog Tour – A Crafty Fox

Cloversunshine_0010_1 copy

My friend Amanda Woodruff of A Crafty Fox and owner of the beautiful online fabric shop Westwood Acres is first up to share her project using Clover Sunshine. Amanda is a favorite of mine and has been so supportive to me as a designer. She is really an amazing person that gets an incredible level of things done and accomplished. Amanda was one of the first people ever (maybe the first, hard to remember at this point) to ask about sewing something with my fabric. What a weird feeling, but so kind and good! You can see the quilt she made with Lucky Penny here, and now she has made this beautiful Clover Sunshine quilt as well! I truly love it, and she has more photos up on her site, and when I saw the first one I kind of gasped a little, so you really do need to click over to the post to see. Thank you Amanda!

If you’ve never visited her fabric shop, you should! It is a highly curated selection of gorgeousness! She sells mostly bundles, which is so super if you are looking to get a bit of all of the fabrics in a collection. The shop is Westwood Acres on etsy. The widget to enter the big fabric giveaway is at the end of the post if anyone is here looking for it!

Hey! What fabulous things you are doing! Although I’m not a quilter, I sew passionately, and therefore never pass an opportunity to explore a fabric store……….. even quilting fabric.
I’m so pleased to say, I bought some of your Alison Glass Handcrafted in the ‘plus’ pattern last summer. I’ve finally decided what to make with it, and so am thinking I should pre-wash it before cutting.
In a search for care (how to wash, might it be dried?), I found your terrific writing about the inspiration, colors, fabric, etc. of the line – but NONE of the photos come up. Such a bummer!
I’ve tried refreshing my browser and the few other things I can think of (computers are not my passion), with no luck.
‘OOPS you blew up the internet’ keeps appearing, saying the page is no longer available, or never existed in the first place. Hmmmmm. I don’t think so – the page can be found a myriad of ways.
So – if you have an answer to the laundering questions, I’d be glad to hear it. More interesting, though, would be a way to see the photos.
Thanks so much – Deb, Santa Fe, NM
